America's medical system has come under fire in recent years for 'putting profits over patients.' But whether or not you agree that this system leads to a vastly unequal distribution of what the rest of the modern world considers as much of a public good as roads or potable water, you have to admire the medical professionals in our hospitals who work tirelessly to ensure their patients receive life-saving care.
